Public Speaking Classroom
- Some of the concepts of effective public speaking to be covered include but are not limited to:
  1. The effectiveness of tone of voice
  2. The power of nonverbal communication
  3. The effective use of body language
  4. The organizational techniques of public speaking
  5. How to manage stress during speaking
  6. The various delivery styles of public speaking
  7. The ability to read the audience while speaking

It is expected that each student will come to the class prepared, having done the best job that he/she is capable of on all assignments. When assignments are not completed, students may fall behind in class, their grade may suffer, and the benefits that would have been derived from that lesson are not acquired.

Reading Strategies Classroom

  3. Vocabulary enhancement
  4. Creating visual images from elements of the text
  5. Connecting literary forms
  6. Effective use of context clues
  7. Application of concepts learned to real world situations
  8. Walking in the shoes of our novel's characters
